and I’m going to teach you a very easy yet very powerful technique of
self-hypnosis that you can use to give yourself positive suggestions that can
have an amazing effect on your life when you practice regularly at the same time
I’m going to give you some suggestions for confidence to give you an idea of
how to phrase your suggestions positively use words talking about now
or the near future so that they seem more immediate and more real such as I’m
feeling more and more in control or I’m finding it increasingly easy to focus
and concentrate at work and it’s important to use positive and not
negative words it’s far more effective to hear I’m going to stay calm
then I don’t want to be nervous another way to make things more effective is to
keep to the same topic and use just three or four main suggestions at a time
all of this will become clearer as we practice the technique in the following
track I suggest that at the end of this introductory track you turn off the
recording and think about what you want to achieve for yourself be specific
about the situations where you want to think feel and even sound differently be
clear about the suggestions that you really want to give yourself maybe write
them down so you remember them better remember to make them positive talk
about the present or near future and keep to one topic so you don’t dilute
the effect in other words don’t decide to change
your eating habits stop smoking and improve your concentration all at the
same time the beauty of self-hypnosis is that when you do it regularly you can
address many things that you want to achieve just don’t do them all at the
same time some people like to say I’m going to speak confidently whereas
others prefer to say you’re going to speak confidently do whichever you feel
most comfortable with whichever you choose will be perfect for you finally
remember that when you do this on your own you can choose to drift off to sleep
at the end if you’re relaxing and practicing yourself hypnosis at
nighttime or if you’re doing it during the daytime you can use the ritual of
bringing yourself out of the relaxed hypnotic state by counting from one to
ten and each number from one to ten we’ll bring you more and more refreshed
and alert and ready to resume your daytime activities and finally never
listen to the next track when you’re driving or needing to give your full
attention to something else as you will be relaxing and drifting into the state
of self-hypnosis turn off your phone and simply ignore
any possible interruptions as you have something very important to do for
yourself right now and of course it’s reassuring to know that no matter how
deeply relaxed you become you can if necessary instantly become alert should
you need to for any reason whatsoever so I suggest you give yourself some time
now before listening to the next track to consider your suggestions if you
haven’t done so already so ready now we’re going to do this twice the first
time to teach you and give you suggestions for confidence and the
second time you’ll give yourself your own suggestions so make yourself
comfortable now where you can sit down or lie down safely and you won’t be
disturbed for a while and allow your eyes to close knowing there’s no right
way to feel relaxed as you do this and there’s no wrong way to feel relaxed as
you do this and it’s nice to let yourself really relax simply enjoy
relaxing and noticing your thoughts drifting drifting off to nowhere in
particular or maybe some Pleasant calming place in
particular or maybe some calming place in you some place in you where you can
feel very comfortable and very calm a quiet calm place in you which is perfect
for you to learn the technique of self-hypnosis and experience yourself a
little differently and you can practice as often as you
like the more you listen to my voice the easier it will become and the easier it
becomes the more effective it will be and the more easily you can do it all on
your own so now allow all the tiny muscles in the
eyelids to fully relax now all the muscle fibers and nerve endings starting
the chain relaxation respondent’s just listening and relaxing to the sound of
my voice and just allow the relaxation to increase just in your eyelids and as
you’re listening and relaxing your eyelids
you may notice them becoming a little heavier and heavier Oh you may notice them feeling lighter and
lighter whichever you feel will be perfect for you and you can enjoy a
comfortable feeling spreading back into your eyes underneath your eyes around your eyes down into your cheeks
and your jaw and just relaxing a little more and a little more you may be
faintly aware of sounds inside or outside the room and it’s interesting to
notice which of those sounds simply fade into the distance as of no importance at
all and which of them in an unusual kind of way seem to act as triggers but
deeper and deeper relaxation now just listening and relaxing and enjoying the
sound of my voice relaxing you your shoulder wanting to sink down into your
arms the arms relaxing and the hands and the fingers the muscles in your chest relaxing that
said the back and the trunk of the body all the way down into the legs the knees
the ankles and all the way down to the tips of the toes hmm
and in a few moments time I’m going to count down from ten to one and each
number will be a signal for you to enjoy relaxing more and more deeply as your
mind and your body are working in harmony together you may simply focus on
the sound of the numbers you may notice images that drift into the mind that can
take you comfortably into the state of hypnotic relaxation and you may find that you feel my voice
taking you pleasantly deeper as your mind becomes
more open and receptive to the positive suggestions to increase your sense of
inner confidence and as I count down you may even notice the numbers changing
before your eyes as each number relaxes you more and more comfortably so ready
now 10 relax even more deeply maybe noticing the number 10 change into the
number 9 that’s deeper and deeper noticing the eyelids relaxing even more
and as the 9 changes into the 8 that sense of ease and relaxation again
spreading into the eyes around the eyes underneath the eyes that’s right seven so you relax deeper and deeper still more and more comfortable more and more
relaxed fix deeper and deeper imagine yourself going deeper and deeper still
as the pleasant relaxation spreads around and down your body by deeper and
deeper ruler oh that three here and now you’re going deeper
and deeper to deeper and deeper more and more comfortable just listening and
relaxing and accepting that maybe you’re drifting and dreaming and maybe you’re
becoming more mentally focused seeing things so clearly either way you can go
so deeply all the way down to one that’s good just listening and relaxing and
drifting maybe feeling right now a sense of comfort reading out reading
out through your whole body like ripples in a pond all the way through relaxing
as your unconscious mind has been becoming more and more calm and
attentive ready now ready and eager to accept the suggestions that you want the
year and right now here are some confident
suggestions you will find that over the coming days and weeks you are becoming
more aware of your own inner positive resources so that each day you are
becoming more confident confident in yourself confident about yourself you
become very confident about using this process regularly and as you use it
regularly so you notice that you are better able to cope in any situation
increasingly each day you feel at ease with people you know and people you
don’t know you have a greater belief in yourself now take a moment or two to
imagine that in front of you is the you who has already absorbed all of these
suggestions really see yourself now handling things so well now you are
feeling more confident and notice how you’re behaving much more confidently your body language so much more positive here how your voice sounds stronger and
more confident when you speak wonderful now in a few moments time I’m going to
count from one to ten and each number is going to help you reorient to the room
so that by the number ten you will be refreshed and alert and probably wanting
to have a good stretch and then we will practice again so that this time you can
give yourself your own personal suggestions you will probably find that
as you practice it for the second time you will allow yourself to become even
more deeply relaxed than before and as I count now from one to ten with each
ascending number you will be more wakeful and alert and as I count any
drowsy heavy feelings are lifted off here ready now one coming back to three confident for your belief in your
confidence will grow stronger and stronger five optimistic six alert seven
any heavy drowsy feelings lifted off you eight feeling like a good stretch nine
eyes light ten eyes open feeling refreshed with an overall feeling of
well-being excellent so there it is
you’ve now experienced the simple process of self hypnosis
so let’s do it again starting again with making yourself
comfortable and allowing your eyelids to relax all the tiny muscles muscle fibers
and nerve endings to fully relax now starting the chain relaxation response
and now allow the relaxation to increase just in your eyelids and as you’re
listening and relaxing your eyelids noticing whether they feel a little
heavier and heavier or whether they’re feeling lighter and lighter whichever
you feel will be perfect for you and then let that comfortable feeling
read back into your eyes underneath your eyes around your eyes down into your
cheeks and your jaw and your neck and just relaxing a little more and a little
more your shoulders wanting to sink down into your arms the arms relaxing and the
hands and the fingers the muscles in your chest relaxing that’s the back and
the trunk of the body all the way down into the legs the knees
the ankles and all the way down to the tips of the toes mm nice and now I’ll count from ten to
one and this time you silently and mentally are counting with me repeating deeper and deeper on every
other out-breath and each descending number will help you go one-tenth deeper
into the amazing state of creative hypnotic relaxation probably finding
that this time you become even more deeply relaxed than before so ready deeper and deeper nein deeper and deeper eight deeper and deeper deeper and
deeper deeper and deeper by deeper and deeper for deeper and deeper still three deeper and deeper to
deeper and deeper and all the way down to and now you can enjoy that wonderful
dreamy comfortable in a focused state and as you enjoy feeling so pleasantly
calm with your unconscious listening attentively eager to hear your positive
suggestions happy to accept them and take them on board here’s where you give
yourself these three or four suggestions that you have chosen as being right for
you as I stay silent for a while you can do that now I’ll come back in a little
while and guide you through the next step of imagining yourself carrying out
your suggestions wonderful now spend a few moments
imagining yourself in some detail carrying out these suggestions in your
everyday life exactly as you want it to happen noticing how you look so good
noticing how you are behaving in just the way you want maybe listening to your
strong confident voice if it’s appropriate maybe you can see other
people around you responding to you really positively and most of all you
can feel that positive sense deep down inside knowing that you believe in you that’s really good and remember when you
do this on your own the more you imagine this in detail in whatever way seems
right for you the more your unconscious mind seems to internalize this way of
seeing things this way of feeling and this way of behaving it’s somehow as
though you have created a little positive habit groove in your brain so
that this desired way of being becomes your automatic way of being and doing
the more often you do this the greater the effect will be when you’re doing
this on your own you may choose if you’re listening at
bedtime to drift off to sleep now creatively dreaming of positive change
and when you wake in the morning you will be fully consciously and
confidently looking forward to a wonderful day but if you want to
reorient to your surroundings all you need to do is to count up words to
yourself from 1 to 10 just as you heard me do earlier and with each number you
will become a little more alert and fully consciously aware of the energy
returning to your body as you count up becoming more wide awake with each
ascending number any heavy or drowsy feelings being
lifted off here at the count of ten you will be fully refreshed in your body and
positive in your mind feeling confident and optimistic and it’s good to know
that you have started a process at the unconscious level that will continue to
surprise and please you long after you reorient to your surroundings the more
you do this the more amazingly effective it will be and you may find that you
enjoy relaxing even more deeply than before because you become more and more
